Miracle Of The Extracted Tooth!
My 11 year old daughter Julianna was scheduled to have an operation for the purpose of extracting a tooth that was lodged above her upper jaw line.

Several days before the operation I prayed that Julianna would have "no pain" or "minimal pain" resulting from the operation. I'll admit that I wasn't as confident as I should have been as I was making this request to the Lord (though I've always believed in Jesus' ability to heal us and take away our pain when it's according to His will).

It turns out the operation was quite serious. Following the ordeal, Julianna's oral surgeon told us that her tooth was difficult to find (he had to do some "digging"), and that he could literally see the inside of her nose as he located the tooth. Yikes!

Juilianna was sent home with a big bottle of Vicodin, which would ease the pain that she'd be feeling as the numbness from the Novacaine shots wore off.

As it turns out, not only did Julianna pass on the Vicodin tablets altogether (she didn't take a single pill), she didn't even want to take the Advil we were offering her to ease the swelling! Her reason? In her own words, it was because her mouth "Didn't hurt at all!" She repeatedly assured us her mouth didn't hurt, as we kept an especially close eye on her for the 4-5 days following her operation. She said that the only time it hurt even a little was when "we made her laugh" or "when she opened her mouth real wide".

I've had several oral surgeries myself, and I can tell you that the very worst aspect of the process is the typical pain and soreness experienced during the 3-4 day recovery period. It hurts!!

Yet in Julianna's case, as a direct answer to prayer, she received exactly what we asked God for - virtually no pain after what was a much more serious oral surgery than I've certainly ever had!

Praise the Lord!
